HACO funds the daily operations of the Notre-Dame du Perpétuel Secours School in the Bel-Air neighborhood of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, as well as special occasions throughout the year. Donations support the following activities:
Yearly salaries for 11 teachers, 3 staff members and 1 school director
Daily meals, often their only meal of the day
Books and school supplies for the students
Gifts, clothes and food for special occasions and ceremonies like Christmas, Easter, First Communion and graduation
Renovations and expansions of the school
In 2016, our school was facing a financial crisis, and was on the verge of closing its doors. We needed to raise $20,000 in three months to keep the school running. The Notre-Dame Club at the Dalton School raised over $30,000. See how they did it and thank you to everyone who donated:
